Burial Notes (Husband)
Giles Wakeling and Eleanors graves are situated (separately) just outside the door of St Marys Church, Sturmer . Next to them are the graves of Giles Wakeling and Hannah Rayner, together. They have been well preserved and are protected by the church well.
General Notes (Husband)
"Coupals farm" was a very substantial and prosperous farm (by UK standards) on the edge of Sturmer ,and it had a very grand house where Balls were held. The Wakelings around this time were a very wealthy family. It is not known how long it was in the Wakeling family, but it is now a housing estate.
Birth Notes (Wife)
This researcher has found two likely Hannah Rayner's both could be the wife of Giles. One was born at Glemsford in 1733 and one born at Sturmer 1734.
There is a third but more unlikely:-
(Hannah Rayner dau of Hannah Rayner christened 15 Jul 1734 at Halstead, Essex)
The one born at Sturmer is the first choice and inserted here until proven otherwise.
Death Notes (Wife)
Died at "Coupals"
