Noted events in their marriage were:• Herbert Clark Memoires: From Charlotte Williams, 30th April 2005. The title page of the Family Bible bears an inscription recording the marriage of Alfred Ophir Clark to Hannah Palmer on the 20th August, 1860. In the same firm hand page 2. is opened with the birth of Ophir Alfred on the 21st January 1861 at Bramford Hill - false modesty had no part in their life. Then is traced the tribe's journey from mill to mill and birth to birth, ending with Margaret Sophia at Wormingford on 26th February, 1880. She died, aged 88, after a life in "sweat-shops" in London as a Milliner, though this did not stop her from reflecting the times in her diaries, or high-lighting them with the occasional verse.
